SPECIAL ISSUE (PHYSICA STATUS SOLIDI - RAPID RESEARCH LETTERS)

Authors of the ION 2025 presentations will have opportunity to submit their newest research articles to a Special Issue based on the conference topics to appear in the prestigious and established journal Physica Status Solidi (RRL) - Rapid Research Letters (pss RRL) (http://www.pss-rapid.com). The journal has published many special issues on various topics in the past (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/18626270/homepage/special-issues)), so the Editors have lots of experience with handling and publication. From that perspective, as the field vividly develops, publishing a new collection of articles appears timely and promising. We will kindly invite the authors to contribute to this special issue of pss RRL with a Review or a Research Article manuscript (with new unpublished results) related to their conference presentation or research topic. We are convinced that a contribution from the ION 2025 speakers, presenters, and perhaps co-authors of their choice will be a perfect addition to this conference publication. The individual invitations are planned to be sent after the ION 2025 conference, and the deadline for submitting manuscripts is set to be 31 Oct 2025.

pss RRL is a hybrid Open Access (OA)/subscription journal. The OA option is compliant with national or funder mandates, supported by an ever-increasing number of countries and institutions. For OA articles with CC-BY license, it depends on whether the Article Publication Charge can be covered by one of Wiley's many open access (OA) agreements in Europe and around the world, see https://bit.ly/3DZiqbd for a complete list. If your institution or funder has no OA funds available, you may publish your article at no cost as a subscription article with a Copyright Transfer Agreement. Wiley also supports green OA, e.g., posting of the manuscript on arXiv.

The pss RRL is rated 100 points according to Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (this information may be important to Polish authors).
